You will have a lot of failures, a lot of disappointments and you will fail your way to success.
“That which does not kill you will make you stronger”
Most of the people allow their fear of failure to outweigh their desire to succeed. That’s why you have to be of good courage. You have to have courage when life knocks you down and land on your back. Because if you can look up, you can get up. Once you look at and decide the goal that you want, you want to put it on some thing – a treasure board or a gold board.
Have the pictures of the goal that you want to achieve so you can see it every day when you get up in the morning. Programme your subconscious mind because 9 of 10 decisions that you make come from there.
“Courage is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm”
When you step into your fears and continue to push yourself to go on, something happens for you. It will enable you to transcend yourself.
When you have something you want to do and if you don’t develop the courage to do that which has been given to you; if you spend a lot of time going around trying to convince other people trying to get their approval – what will happen is that you will lose your nerve and other people will convince you that what you’re doing doesn’t have any value and you should give up on your dream.
Life is about growth and you could either go back to your comfort zone where you won’t find any growth or you must willingly go forward and face your fears again and again and again. You’re never going to have a fear-free existence.
Ofcourse, some fear is acceptable and legitimate and there are some things that you really should be afraid of, but you shouldn’t allow it to immobilize you. Acknowledge it and carry yourself accordingly. There are times that you should proceed with caution, but it’s the difference between being stopped by fear, it’s the difference between having a fear and the fear having you.
Don’t condemn yourself for being afraid, it’s perfectly fine to have some fears. Acknowledge your fears, embrace those fears and then move on to act on whatever it is that you fear. Once you embrace it, what you resist will persist. So, one of the most important things is to begin to embrace your fear so that you begin to know how to handle it.
Visualize yourself being more than able and capable of handling it. See yourself being worthy, being capable, having what you need to make you worthwhile person. That you’re more than able and that you deserve to be listened to or you deserve to have that dream and that passion and whatever it is that you see and envision. You’ve got to see it in your mind’s eye and know that you’ve got what it takes. Decide as you look at your life, as you look into the future and ask…
What fears am I holding on to What fears I'm allowing to imprison me What's keeping me from breaking out What's keeping me from living up to my true potential What's keeping me from really being happy What's keeping me from having a sense of adventure and excitement in my life What's keeping me from controlling my destiny What fears that I'm giving that permission
We must not give our permission to fear to immobilize us. Whatever discomfort you experience, whatever challenges, difficulties that you got, handle it. You’ve got to go up in there and wrestle with it.
Will it be easy? No.
Will it be challenging? Yes.
Accept yourself and accept the fear as a fact and not a force. It means that you accept it’s something that happens, it’s something that you’re going to experience, but it is not a force to hold you back. It doesn’t have any special power other than what you give it.
Accept the fact that you are afraid and then you move on anyhow. You move on past it and you do whatever you’ve got to do.
